The first short story about Sherlock Holmes printed in The Strand Magazine took place on this date in 1888. It was called A Scandal in Bohemia and was written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. All together, Doyle wrote 56 short stories about the adventures of Sherlock Holmes. In A Scandal in Bohemia, the king of Bohemia comes to Holmes for help. His ex-girlfriend has a photo of them and has said that she will send it to the king's new girlfriend. The king asks Holmes to get the photo so he can get married without any problems.
